With Britney Spears' "Womanizer" music video premiering in just 5 days (Friday, October 10th, ABC's 20/20), the anticipation and excitement overwhelms the globe. And what better way to triple that excitement, than with a 7 second look at the brand new clip.
Last night, ABC's "Desperate Housewives" aired a preview of the brand new Womanizer video, announcing "In just 5 days, Britney is back!"
In the short but unbelievably sweet clip, we see a sexy Britney, dressed in a secretary outfit and shoulder-length black wig, as well as a stunning blond Britney in a grey satin robe (just as the video spoilers stated).
In other news, reports are circulating that Christina Aguilera fans are plotting an attack against Britney's comeback. Ag's fans have decided to make a download day for Christina's new single "Keeps Gettin' Better" on October 7th, in which fans will buy her song from iTunes, in an effort to get the track to number one. October 7th is the exact same day Britney's new single "Womanizer" is digitally released to iTunes. Translation, the Britney Vs Christina war is still very much alive.
Though, in Christina's opinion, the war between the two rivals doesn't exist. The Dirrty singer reveals she isn’t worried about Britney Spears’ comeback — because both artists are in different leagues. Christina says she has been busy in her own "creative cave" — and insists she isn’t keeping tabs on what her old rival is getting up to in the studio.
"I’ve been so sort of in my own creative cave. But no, it’s a great feeling to still be in the game with somebody that you have known for so many years, even going back to the Mickey Mouse club. We had so much fun together. At this stage in our lives, we are so different I don’t think you can put us in the same ball park."
Britney's new record, "Circus," will officially drop in stores December 2nd, coinciding with the star's birthday. Christina's new greatest hits CD, "Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade Of Hits," will release November 7th. Aguilera's upcoming fourth album is still currently in the recording process; the release date is yet to be determined.
Despite fluffy, sincere comments, everyone wants to be No. 1.
Britney, Christina, let the battle commence.
